About the Role: The Technical Head of Department for Dyeing & Printing Textile will oversee all technical aspects of the dyeing and printing processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, improving productivity, and maintaining the highest quality standards in textile manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Technical Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and develop the technical team in the dyeing and printing department.
- Monitor and optimize dyeing and printing processes to achieve consistent quality and efficiency.
- Introduce and implement innovative technologies and techniques to improve processes and reduce costs.
- 2. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the highest standards of quality in dyeing and printing, meeting or exceeding client specifications.
- Analyze defects, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to establish quality benchmarks and procedures.
- 3. Production Oversight:
- Plan and oversee the production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor resource utilization (materials, labor, and equipment) to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in production processes.
- 4. Research & Development:
- Drive R&D initiatives to develop new dyeing and printing techniques and products.
- Stay updated on global trends, new materials, and innovations in textile dyeing and printing.
- 5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients, sales teams, and other departments to understand and meet customer needs.
- Provide technical support to the sales team for customer presentations and inquiries.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational.
- 6. Team Management:
- Train and mentor team members to build technical expertise and improve performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in dyeing and printing processes within the textile industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with different dyes, chemicals, and textile materials.
- Proficiency in using dyeing and printing equipment and software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and team management expertise.
