Role & Responsibilities:
- Supplier Evaluation and Development:
-
Conduct factory audits of potential suppliers, track key quality issues, and drive measurable improvements.

Monitor supplier in-process quality assurance, set up process control plans and quality plans.

Work with global teams and suppliers to develop appropriate levels of quality plans.

Identify opportunities for supplier development in quality systems, products, and processes.

Utilize methodologies such as ISO, SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma to drive improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.

- Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance:
-
Identify and correct ongoing supplier quality problems through systematic analysis and recommendations.

Monitor and communicate supplier response and follow-up activities on any non-conforming products, including investigation, sorting, analysis, disposition, deviation, and corrective actions.

Prepare and review in-process quality standards, methods, and procedures for existing products.

Track supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure compliance and timely completion.

Own the Quality portion of the Supplier Scorecard for assigned suppliers, monitor monthly performance, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure effective communication and alignment on supplier requirements.

Participate in new product development and provide input to ensure supplier capabilities meet product specifications.

Manage supplier quality inspector teams to ensure compliance with company quality requirements.

Frequent interactions with suppliers to improve product quality, process control, and development opportunities.

Occasional domestic and international travel (up to 40%) to support Procurement and Quality initiatives.

Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality and engineering within an international organization.

Strong understanding of quality systems, product qualification, manufacturing processes, basic statistical methods, improvement methodologies, and program management.

Experience in manufacturing processes such as casting, injection molding, and assembly.

Certified Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Ability to manage time and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
