About the Role: The Senior Manager – Finance & Operations will be responsible for providing comprehensive commercial and financial analytical support to drive the sourcing strategy and its key initiatives. This role will collaborate with key business units regionally to assess external factors impacting buying margins and integrate them into the financial planning process and support commercial teams with business analysis to enable informed buying decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting, Tax, Internal Control Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Group & Local Accounting & Reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and tax requirements (including direct/indirect tax, transfer pricing) of each sourcing office regionally.
- Ensure good financial control and governance in each sourcing office, via SOP improvement and better control deployment.
- Manage working capital and ensure efficient cash flow management, including payment term management with vendors.
- Ensure smooth development and implementation of relevant accounting and other tools in the region.
- Financial Planning and Reporting
- Supports budget and 3-year/5-year plan outputs, providing the leadership team with insight into strategic initiatives, key assumptions, and risks and opportunities within the plan.
- Proactively analyses supplier financial risks and other key margin drivers (e.g., FX, labor, freight) to support central teams in driving efficiency in the sourcing of products
- Prepare and drive the monthly performance review with commercial leadership team, providing insightful analysis and advice to improve commercial decision making.
- Work closely with the sourcing teams to deliver a clear and consistent message on performance.
- Manages operating costs to ensure value for money is achieved and to drive operational efficiencies
- Review opportunities to streamline reporting and drive efficiencies across planning and reporting processes
- Exploit Data Power BI analytics to drive insight.
- Business Partnering
- Provide financial support to the commercial business teams, interpreting and analyzing trading information to drive insight into business performance.
- Maintaining effective working relationships across the business units, international team and regional office teams.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of Commercial & Business finance experience, preferably in sourcing industry
- 3 years in the managerial level and experience in managing teams, preferably with MNC
- Preferred Qualified Accountant – Chartered Accountant from a reputed university
- Ability to communicate with impact to senior management, business stakeholders and other finance teams
- Good commercial understanding of the business & markets.
