The Company:

Our Client is an iconic Luxurious FMCG brand, with long standing history and significant ambitions to scale their omni-channel presence across Asia Pacific.

Role & Responsibilities:

An integral member of their global leadership team, this individual will have extensive leverage to establish financial capabilities within their organization as one of their progressive leaders in a position of Finance Manager.

You will be responsible for:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the store, in alignment with the overall business objectives.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, sales analysis, and performance metrics, to senior management.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control:

    • Collaborate with store management to develop annual budgets and monitor performance against targets.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline processes, and implement effective cost control measures without compromising customer service or quality.
    • Conduct regular cost variance analysis and provide actionable insights to optimize store operations.
  • Financial Operations:

    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash management, banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
    • Manage inventory control and implement strategies to minimize stock losses and improve inventory turnover.
  • Performance Analysis and Strategy:

    • Analyze sales performance, margin, and inventory turnover to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase profitability.
    • Collaborate with the store management team to optimize pricing strategies, promotions, and markdowns.
    • Conduct competitor analysis to stay informed about market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Finance Manager or similar role in the luxurious retail industry, preferably in the luxurious retail sector.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing and developing a finance team.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
