Senior EHS Manager
About the job
The Company: Our client, a leading multinational in the manufacturing sector, is looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior EHS Manager to oversee and enhance their environmental, health, and safety (EHS) framework for their large-scale operation in Vietnam. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and coach the plant leadership team in executing EHS strategies.
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure alignment with global and local regulations.
- Oversee EHS projects, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.
- EHS Compliance & Systems
- Ensure adherence to local laws, global EHS standards, and certifications (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001).
- Monitor and enhance workplace safety through risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct EHS training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Incident Management & Reporting
- Investigate EHS incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop reporting systems to track and improve safety performance.
- Behavioral Safety & Employee Wellbeing
- Promote EHS awareness through training and engagement programs.
- Foster a culture of safety accountability at all levels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of EHS experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety regulations, risk assessment, and process safety.
- Hands-on experience with EHS frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, training, and project management capabilities.
