Our client is one of the leading industrial brand with significant ambitions to scale their Vietnam business to the next level.
Role & Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be demonstrating ability to develop new food products and lead the development on various key projects including modifying existing formulations to meet customers’ requirements. You will be responsible to modify existing formulations to meet customer requirements, provide directions to resolve performance issues in applications and in compliance with the standard requirements and Vietnam food regulations.
- Lead development work on key & strategic customer projects as per project brief requirements e.g.: proactive, reactive, customer visits and innovation day.
- To create new or modify existing formulation for innovation days and customer visits and compliance with the defined customer brief requirements.
- Ability to formulate multiple seasoning types to deliver performance for customer briefs, problem solving processes, research, and development needs, etc.
- Ability to prepare and present complex seasoning creation related technical presentations.
- Ability to interface with customers and effectively discuss the seasoning creation needs for multiple seasoning types and provide direction to help to solve performance issues in their applications.
- Collaborate with cross functional departments when necessary.
- Lead / be involved in resolving potential issues associated with production & supply chain, & addressing customer complaints
- Build knowledge & awareness of customer, competitor brands & consumer preferences.
- Organize the maintenance, cleaning and servicing of laboratory equipment as recommended by the equipment manufacturers.
- Provide technical assistance & organize workshops for internal & external customers.
- Knowledge & understanding of cross category end application process.
- Knowledge, understanding & incorporation of company technology & technical competences
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science / Food Technology or related science discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in R&D at Food/ FMCG companies or flavor industry, experience in savory specific field is an advantage
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proven ability to work in a multicultural & functional environment.
- Ability to work within constraints of time & resources.
- Presentation skills, time management skills, project management skills
- Good English communication
- Has to be a self-starter, agile mindset and good communicator, understanding the needs of the customers’ requirements.
