The Company:
Our client is one of the leading global cosmetic manufacturing companies in Indonesia.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Assessment of New Manufacturers:
- Aid in onboarding new suppliers globally: Conduct desktop audits and explain the criteria and requirements to new partners.
- On-site assessment: Evaluate manufacturers’ facilities, capabilities, technologies, and adherence to industry standards.
- Cost and contract management
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of evaluations, communications, and technical solutions for each new manufacturer.
- Offer technical support post-audit to bridge gaps and ensure compliance before mass production.
- Management of Existing Manufacturers:
- Annual documentation/certificate checks.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews at factories.
- Biennial critical process audits ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Collaborate for on-site audits and execution of improvement plans with factories through the central office or third parties.
- APAC Sustainable Audits or new certification or system applications (e.g., RSPO, Ecovadis)
- Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of the latest manufacturing trends, technologies, and innovations in the cosmetics industry.
- Sustainability Advocacy: Promote and enforce ethical and sustainable production practices, including cruelty-free testing and eco-friendly packaging.
- Development of training programs for new vendors and coaching on company processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or the related field.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- Relevant certifications in cosmetic formulation or safety are advantageous.
- Over 8 years in project management within cosmetic manufacturing, sourcing, or similar roles, with deep knowledge of formulation, production processes, and quality control.
- Experience as a Quality Engineer facilitating audits, quality management systems, and control setup.
- Familiarity with cosmetic industry regulations, safety standards, and GMP.
- Proficiency in evaluating new manufacturing setups and their development.
- Proficiency in written and oral English.
- Willingness to travel for on-site evaluations and audits.
