Role & Responsibilities:
- Production Process Management
- Monitor and control daily production activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze production workflows and identify areas for process optimization.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all production activities meet quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Work closely with the quality control team to minimize defects and maintain product consistency.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for any process deviations or production issues.
- Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
- Oversee machinery performance and maintenance schedules to prevent downtime.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical failures and work with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Recommend and support equipment upgrades or automation for process improvements.
- Production Planning & Optimization
- Develop and implement efficient production plans based on demand and resource availability.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure materials availability.
- Monitor key production KPIs (cycle time, yield, efficiency, waste reduction) and drive improvements.
- New Product Introduction & Process Development
- Support new product launches by ensuring production readiness and capability.
- Assist in process validation and test runs for new materials or equipment.
- Ensure a smooth transition from prototype development to mass production.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on production performance and cost-saving initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and manufacturing tools.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
- Understanding of automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
