Role & Responsibilities:
- Market Intelligence and Analysis
- Conduct in-depth market research to analyze technical industry trends, target markets, and competitor landscapes.
- Identify new market opportunities by analyzing emerging trends, technological innovations, and gaps in the market.
- Provide detailed reports and summaries of research findings to the sales team.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of research findings to ensure accurate and up-to-date market intelligence.
- Customer and Stakeholder Mapping
- Map key customers and stakeholders within technical industries, identifying key decision-makers, influencers, and purchasing trends.
- Gather and compile data on customer behavior, needs, and preferences.
- Create detailed profiles of prospective clients, focusing on their technical needs, business challenges, and opportunities.
- Sales Support and Collaboration
- Support the sales team by gathering technical data, preparing materials for presentations, and aligning research with sales strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially the sales and product teams, to ensure research aligns with business objectives and sales targets.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software, etc) or related field. A background in engineering is essential to understand the technical aspects of the industries you will be researching.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in market research or data analysis with the ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Experience in customer mapping and stakeholder identification within technical markets is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using market research tools, CRM systems, and databases to gather and analyze data.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex research data in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of research projects.
