The Company: Our client is an iconic Industrial brand, with long standing history and significant ambitions to scale their presence across Asia Pacific.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create commercial invoices and packing lists in the ERP system, or manually when required.
- Arrange transportation for import and export shipments using appropriate modes of transport, maintain records, track shipments, and handle any arising issues.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to manage the import of machinery and equipment from China for new product lines (e.g., cables and CNC factory projects).
- Collaborate with customs brokers and shipping agents to review customs declarations and resolve any issues.
- Prepare documentation for applying for Certificates of Origin and submit applications directly to the VCCI office.
- Monitor material consumption rates and reconcile monthly stock movements of raw materials and finished goods with the accounting team.
- Prepare and submit annual reports related to the settlement of imported raw materials using Forms 15, 15a, and 16.
- Consolidate and submit customs-cleared import/export documents to the accounting department.
- Periodically review and verify outstanding logistics-related costs.
- Communicate with transportation service providers and negotiate freight rates as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: From 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with import/export processes, customs regulations, and incoterms.
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of ISO, health & safety, or quality management systems is an advantage.
