The Company: Our client is a leading company in the renewable energy sector. They are dedicated to driving the transition to sustainable energy solutions and are looking for an experienced professional to lead their service operations across the APAC region.
Role & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a results-oriented Head of Service Operations with a solid technical background, preferably in the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. This role requires quick decision-making, the ability to identify needs, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Workload and Resource Management:
- Analyze regional workload based on current staff resources.
- Monitor the resource situation across the sub-regions.
- Identify staffing requirements for sub-regions and prepare proposals.
- Staff Development and Management:
- Ensure the development and training of staff within the region.
- Make decisions on hiring, performance management, appraisals, and performance reviews in collaboration with local HR.
- Define the number of staff required for posting abroad to support other regions if needed.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Organize and maintain allocation sets to efficiently match workload and workforce among the regions
- Prepare forecasts related to service levels, personnel, and other key metrics.
- Implement best practices for operational planning, order preparation, material management, and service excellence.
- Continuously optimize internal procedures and structures.
- Ensure compliance with global service standards and process conformity.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the conception and organization of strategic initiatives aimed at improving service operations.
- Prepare first proposals for countermeasures in case of deviations in workload calculations.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor KPIs from the sub-region against the plan.
- Track performance and discuss sub-region performance and the success of countermeasures.
- Initiate and follow up on performance plans with the Global Service team.
- Technology and Process Leadership:
- Lead a unit focused on technology and process innovation.
- Ensure high-quality knowledge retention and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master or PhD is a plus. Strong background in renewable energy.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in service operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing regional operations and developing staff.
- Ability to make informed decisions and manage complex projects.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
