About the Role: We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales with a solid Technical education (such as Mechanical, Mechatronic engineering ) and a proven track record of success in Heavy Industry, OEM, and Automotive sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of technical aspects, coupled with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies, lead high-performing teams, and establish strong relationships with key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide visionary leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals with technical backgrounds, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the Heavy Industry, OEM, and Automotive sectors, taking into account technical nuances.
- Identify new market opportunities, assess industry trends, and stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Handle both Distributors and End-user, drive from Indirect sales to more Direct Sales
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their technical needs and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement account management strategies to maximize client retention and drive upselling opportunities.
- Sales Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, with a focus on technical aspects of the products/services.
- Implement efficient sales processes and ensure the use of CRM tools to track and analyze sales performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure a unified approach to market positioning and product offerings.
- Performance Metrics:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies, considering technical aspects.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Education such as Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, with a focus on Heavy Industry, OEM, and Automotive sectors.
- Fluent in SAP system
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and mechatronic systems relevant to the specified industries.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Experience in leading and managing a high-performing sales team.
