About The Role: The Finance Director will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all financial aspects of the investment group. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial strategy, investment analysis, and portfolio management, ensuring the financial health and growth of the organization. This individual will work closely with senior leadership and contribute to high-level decision-making by providing expert financial guidance, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement the group’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
- Assess market trends, economic conditions, and investment opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Investment Oversight & Analysis:
- Lead the analysis and reporting of investment portfolios, performance metrics, and risk management strategies.
- Support senior leadership with due diligence, valuation assessments, and structuring of investments.
- Provide insight on optimal capital allocation, asset management, and exit strategies.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee financial reporting to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SEC).
- Develop and maintain key financial metrics and KPIs to monitor financial performance.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality financial services and analysis.
- Work closely with the CFO/CEO and other departments to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Risk Management & Internal Controls:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial, operational, and investment risks.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, ensuring the integrity and security of financial data.
- Investor Relations & Reporting:
- Manage relationships with investors and stakeholders, providing transparent and accurate financial reports.
- Present financial performance, trends, and forecasts to senior executives and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA, CFA, or CPA designation preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in senior management roles.
- Strong background in investment analysis, financial modeling, and portfolio management.
- Proven experience with capital markets, M&A, and corporate finance.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
