About the role: The Factory Manager (Furniture) oversees production, quality control, planning, HR, facility management, and P&L. This role demands operational leadership in the furniture industry, focusing on efficiency, quality, and financial performance. Reports To: Group General Manager (GM) / Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
Production Management:
• Oversee daily operations for efficient output.
• Implement production strategies to meet goals.
• Optimize production processes.
Quality Control:
• Maintain high product quality standards.
• Implement and ensure compliance with quality procedures.
• Address and correct quality issues promptly.
Production Planning and Control (PMC):
• Develop production schedules to meet business needs.
• Coordinate departments to achieve targets.
• Manage inventory and supply chain logistics.
Human Resources (HR) Management:
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and policies.
Facility Management:
• Oversee facility maintenance and management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage facility budgets and resources.
Profit and Loss (P&L) Management:
• Monitor and manage financial performance.
• Develop strategies to improve profitability.
• Implement cost-control measures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• 10+ years in operational management within the furniture industry, 5+ in senior management.
• Knowledge of production, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Experience in HR and facility management.
• Financial acumen in P&L management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in relevant software for production, quality control, and financial analysis.
