Country HSE Manager (Feed/Food Manufacturer)

The Company: Our client, a leading multinational in the feed/food manufacturing sector, is looking for an experienced and results-driven Country EHS Manager to oversee and enhance their environmental, health, and safety (EHS) framework across their operations in Vietnam. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic EHS Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and strategies in compliance with corporate and local regulations.
- Lead initiatives to promote sustainable environmental practices and workplace safety.
- Regulatory Compliance & Audits:
- Ensure full compliance with national EHS laws, standards, and corporate requirements.
- Prepare and manage inspections, audits, and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Training & Employee Engagement:
- Conduct EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Engage teams to foster a proactive EHS culture throughout the organization.
- Incident Prevention & Response:
- Oversee risk assessments and hazard identification processes to minimize risks.
- Manage incident investigations and ensure root cause analyses are performed effectively.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report EHS performance metrics to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leaders and corporate teams on EHS matters.
- Lead EHS teams across multiple manufacturing facilities and ensure consistent application of best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 8-10 years of EHS management experience in the feed, food, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of local environmental and occupational health & safety regulations.
- Experience with EHS management systems
- Proven track record of managing audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required
