About the job
The Company: Our client is a leading multinational company specializing in the production of custom-molded components and cutting-edge material solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all cost estimation activities across the entire production site, including estimating costs for new or special products to set selling prices and production forecasts.
• Periodically consolidate production costs of departments for payroll, inventory reporting, and labor allocation of the plant, verify actual costs, and calculate variances.
• Ensure cost calculations are consistent across production departments, including the separation of variable/fixed costs for sensitivity analysis. Classify production costs into wages, materials, and overhead.
• Review and simplify the budget process related to production costs.
• Promote process automation and simplification of actual and budgetary processes.
• Manage overall cost-related responsibilities.
• Prepare and submit cost-related reports and cost allocation across production sites in a timely, accurate, and valid manner for inventory, and gross profit schedules for management.
• Train the production team and provide guidance.
• Monitor, analyze, and benchmark the production costs and development of the plant.
• Document and manage input factors for product costing, such as material prices, material waste impact, construction/labor costs, tooling costs, and depreciation.
• Collaborate with product management, materials, and development teams throughout the product development cycle and line evaluations to achieve profit targets.
• Coordinate with Sales & Operations teams on product volume forecasts, identify potential bottlenecks, and actively seek volume discount opportunities.
• Prepare, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly gross margin analyses by brand and customer type.
• Maintain internal control documentation and perform internal control checks.
• Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory accounts, receivables by customer type, by department.
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies related to cost and profitability analysis.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Compliance Responsibilities:
o Advise superiors and the Board of Directors on state regulations regarding costs.
o Perform work according to regulations, anticipate and report timely on any arising issues.
o Propose process improvements to increase organizational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of costing experience
• Proficiency in relevant software and excellent Excel skills
• Good communication in English.
• Proactive, practical, able to coordinate team members, and responsible for the managed department.
• Skills and experience in auditing, analyzing, and evaluating.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with others.
• Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet crucial deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Proven ability to make complex and sensitive decisions timely for the best interest of the organization.
